Penelope Lau

Penelope Lau has a colourful and diverse background. Born in Borneo, Malaysia, Penelope has lived in numerous countries, from China, England, Scotland, The Netherlands and now Australia. Penelope spent great chunks of her childhood writing and meticulously illustrating her stories, based on her immersion in those differing cultures.

Penelope pursued a career in science and obtained a PhD in stem cell research. However, the joy of writing persisted in calling to her. With the motto ‘you only live once’ Penelope began to write again, and now finds herself in the lucky position of combining her passion with her career.
