About the author:

Miranda Young is a passionate music lover, and now a serious admirer of Olivia Newton John, joining the legions of fans who are hopelessly devoted to her. She is a Melbourne music writer and researcher who was lucky enough to have worked with Molly Meldrum for over 25 years, and with the great man Michael Gudsinki at Mushroom Records’ White Label. Miranda started off writing for Inpress street mag in the 90’s and ended up co-owner with her husband of iconic rock and roll venues Cherry Bar and late nightclub Yah Yahs.

Miranda spent some happy days getting her BA Hons Melb Uni, and Masters Prelim in Russian Literature at Mon Uni. She is an unrepentant New Romantic music fan who still has a posters of Phil Oakey from Human League and Rob Smith from The Cure on her study wall. She is married to Melbourne first Night Mayor James Young with three magnificent sons.
