Elliot Hannay

Elliot Hannay is an author and veteran journalist. His writing career started in 1958 at the age of sixteen and he worked in newspapers, ABC radio and television, AAP, the public service and media consultancy for 60 years. He edited one weekly and two daily newspapers in Queensland, toured China in 1980 on its first exchange with journalists from a Western nation and freelanced as a foreign correspondent in the Asia Pacific region, Central America and Europe. His latest work The Colt With No Regrets has been endorsed across the national political spectrum and welcomed as an important Australian memoir full of insight and humour.
